9. Our Website: Browser Storage, Cookies and Analytics

This section covers our public website, solidmeta.io.

Without your consent: only what the website needs to work

The website itself sets no cookies. It keeps three entries in your browser, which are needed to provide the website the way you use it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). None of them is sent to us or to anyone else.

  • Your privacy choice (cookie_consent, local storage): whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again. It stays until you change it under “Privacy settings” or clear your browser data.
  • Your language (sm_marketing_locale, local storage): the language you picked for the website. It stays until you clear your browser data.
  • A sent form (sm_invite_submitted, session storage): that you already sent the access or demo form, so it isn't shown to you again. It is deleted when you close the tab.

With your consent: Google Analytics

If you click “Accept” in the privacy banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, where visitors come from (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), and when someone sends a form. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google.

  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), which processes the data on our behalf.
  • Data: the pages you visit and when, the page or site that referred you, device type, browser, screen size and language, your approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address, and events such as a submitted form. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not use the data for advertising.
  • Cookies: _ga and _ga_36SWPH73P6, which tell visits apart. They expire after up to two years.
  • Retention: Google keeps the analytics data for [14] months, after which it is deleted.
  • Transfer outside the EU: Google may process the data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023.
  • Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
  • Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, under “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page. We then stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies for this website.

10. Protecting Children’s Privacy

SolidMeta is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 16, you may need parental consent depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., EU regulations).
